The following paragraphs briefly summarize some of our recent projects:
Design of a global commercial banking portal: This project consisted
of defining business and customer experience requirements, information
architecture, interaction design, graphical user interface, and all front-end
specifications for a major commercial banking portal with a global audience.
Effort also included producing an application-centric style guide and shared
UI resources to support development of consistent UIs across the 50+ highly
complex business applications accessed through the portal.
Architecture review & development of conceptual architecture: A
major financial institution with over 15 different lines of business requested
a
situation
analysis of the customer experience provided by their client-facing applications.
This effort included analysis of their global customer support services and all
setup
and on-boarding
processes.
Over 48 applications, and a myriad of related processes, were reviewed. Final
deliverables
were
in-depth
situation
analysis documentation and the development of
a conceptual architecture for a strategic client
access platform.
Business application design: EEMedia has been involved
with the development of numerous types of business
applications. We have done everything from project kick-offs and business
case justification,
creation of business and functional requirements, user interface design
specifications, graphical user interfaces, quality assurance test plans,
and UI shared resources, to managing focus group reviews and usability
testing. We have worked on applications with
complex business rules, extensive work-flow requirements, and heavy content
management
needs. Types of applications include: Transactional, analytic, information/reporting,
inquiry, support, administrative, and more.
Knowledge network design: An engineering firm with offices
in 35 countries had a goal to design a knowledge network that would enable
knowledge transfer both amongst their employees around the world, as well
as with their affiliated contractor base. Our involvement with the project
included kick-offs, creation of collateral to cost-justify the product,
development of business and functional requirements, and vendor selection
processes.
Strategy development for delivery of self-service products:
This project consisted of helping a disbursed group of business lines within
a large organization define a cross-business strategy for delivering customer
self-service applications. Functionality included inquiry
and investigation initiation and tracking, customer support (through a variety
of channels), distributed user administration, and client on-boarding and
setup processes. Deliverables consisted primarily of presentations to executive
management on possible strategic solutions and their cost-justification.
Proof-of-concept for a B2B platform: Involvement
in this project consisted of definition of all the business and interaction
requirements for a large-scale B2B platform, and development of a proof-of-concept
used both for securing funding and in vendor selection processes.
Creative direction for major commerce and community site: An
commerce business built around entertainment and fan groups needed to develop
a set of interchangeable UI modules for their
on-line shopping and community
site. These modules needed to be used in various configurations both
in their own main site, and in white labeled versions of their proprietary
software.
Other activities included graphical interface design for the central site and
defining functionality and design specifications for while label implementations.
Style guide development: EEMedia has been involved in numerous
projects involving the definition of user interface specifications. We have
helped companies adapt corporate standards to the needs of complex applications,
advised on strategies for getting consistency in usability and presentation
across applications developed in a distributed environment, and developed
style guides and UI shared resources for a wide variety of situations.
